MedTRACK is a fully integrated research and information resource
that can track the product pipeline progression of more than 10,500
biomedical companies by therapeutic indication, product and trial
details, and financial information.
The database is designed to enable industry professionals to look

therapeutic area and quickly determine where they rank clinically
as well as financially.
In addition, MedTRACK provides extensive research tools that allow
you to customize your enquiries; select individualized search criteria,
merge information on the financial statements and pipelines of two
or more companies, and conduct searches of companies and their respective
products by geography, mechanism of action, or by patent expiration.
The main MedTRACK database product incorporates many features and

and officers, and more.
The Industry Hub organizes data into 38 industry categories
(biotechnology/ biopharmaceutical, gene/cell therapy, pharmaceuticals,
etc), further divided into more than 1000 subcategories, and displays
current and important information for each company listed, including
key financial data, and valuation and growth ratios.
The Company Explorer section that lets you track firms based
on 18 different parameters, and a Drug Patent Expiry database searchable
by patent and market exclusivity expiration dates, active ingredient,

The Geographical Search tool to explore and investigates
companies based on their geographical location.
The Merger Tool allows the user to combine and compare the
pipeline and financial information of public and private companies.

classifying medical substances. It is a useful tool for locating
and comparing companies working within a specific drug class.
Extended Product Profiles: The database includes highly
detailed Extended Product Profiles for many Phase II and Phase III
products. These extended descriptions include pharmacology, clinical
trial history, and regulatory information.
Milestone Calendar: The milestone calendar provides important
upcoming events such as PDUFA dates that could impact a company's
status, affect the competition, or move a company's stock.
Product Sales: Historical data for selective US and international
sales is provided in tabular and interactive graphical format.
MOA: The database allows users to search for products based
on their mechanism of action or determine how novel an approach
or product may be.

with comparable valuations based upon pipeline, or to determine
relative private company valuations by identifying public companies
with comparable pipelines.
Screener: Finds all companies that match chosen criteria
such as therapeutic area, stage of development, geographical area,
and financial variables (for US public companies).
Deals and alliances database
The MedTRACK database now includes the deals and alliances database,
which provides comprehensive coverage of licensing agreements and
other deals by more than 10,500 biomedical companies covered in
MedTRACK. Historically it has deals broken down by type – development,
license, collaboration, research, distribution, marketing, supply
etc. Deals are also broken down by 20 different therapeutic categories.
These are then broken down by the stage of development – On the
market, clinical phase (I, II, III), pending approval etc. Information
is also provided by the financial terms, e.g. royalty, milestone,
funding, upfront cash, payments, licensing fees, equity, profit
sharing, and development fees. The database has a daily newsfeed
which provides updates on deals and alliances, as well as mergers
and acquisitions as they occur. Both MedTRACK and the Deals and
Alliances database are provided through the same front end, and
so will only require the single login.
MedTRACK Analytics
MedTRACK Analytics defines a set of metrics that evaluates a company
compared to its competitors as well as a broader industry index.
Subscribers can access a unique ranking system that combines 35
analytical measurements into six metric classes, including Pipeline
Metrics, which represents an evaluation and comparison of a company’s
pipeline to a representative group of competitors and a related
index.
The final scores for each metric are weighted and combined into
a global LSA Index that reflects the overall assessment of the company.
Select from data into an Industry Index (Amex Pharma, Emerging Biotech
Index, etc), competitive analysis of specific companies, and pre-prepared
company reports.
