|
Patented technology regarding new and safe mechanism with
the active substance PH3 for the indications of osteoporosis and diabetic
vascular complications.

|
Abstract:
|
|
PHN031, for the indication of anti-osteoporosis, is ready for filing
IND application.
PHN031 is a small molecule fraction extracted from a Chinese
herb.
Pharmacology and mechanism of action: Studies show that PHN031
enhances bone formation in several animal models.
Toxicology: All work in gene toxicology, acute toxicology, and
28 days toxicology studies have been completed with no drug related
toxicity reported.
CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control): All CMC documents
are ready for IND application with ongoing stability studies to be completed.
The active ingredients of this botanic drug have been identified
and could be used as lead compounds for further chemical synthesis.
The biological activity of these active ingredients includes enhancing
osteoblast maturation or promoting erythropoiesis in bone marrow cells.
PHN033 is to be developed as a drug for the indication of diabetic
vascular complications such as diabetic retinopathy
PHN033 is a small molecule fraction extracted from a Chinese
herb.
Pharmacology and mechanism of action: Studies show that PHN033
increases degradation and clearances of AGE (advanced glycation end
products) associated with diabetic conditions. PHN033 has been shown
to enhance tissue regeneration of damaged retina, liver and kidney in
animal models of diabetes induced by STZ or AGE-MSA.
