The Field Service Engineer (FSE) position will support the Asia Pacific region. The ideal candidate for this position will be based out of Taiwan and will provide on-site customer product support for Illumina's products in Taiwan.

Responsibilities:
  Job duties include but are not limited to:
1. Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain instrument systems in defined territory.
2. Troubleshoot and repair system problems.
3. Submit service reports, expense reports, and "Bug" reports in a timely manner.
4. Enter work performed in service database in a timely manner.
5. Maintain accurate service spares inventory.
6. Revise/review SOPs.
7. Write FSB's from field experiences.
8. Demonstrated ability to align optical systems.
9. Mentor junior FSEs.

Required:

2. Experience in the biotechnology/biomedical industry, or applicable military experience.
3. Travel required up to 60%.
4. Must be highly motivated and have strong problem solving ability.
5. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
6. Must have good technical writing abilities.
7. Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
8. Computer experience and literacy a must.
9. Must be flexible in working hours as this position may require customer support during non-regular business hours.
