Recent projects
Local co-ordinator for Nature Publishing Group's 'Spotlight on Taiwan' special feature, Nature Magazine, April 5, 2007
BiotechEast together with Nature Publishing Group organized and produced a special supplement to Nature Magazine featuring Taiwan's life science industry, the first such coverage by Nature in more than seven years.
The Spotlight was sent out to more than 50,000 Nature Magazine subscribers, and printed separately for distribution at the international BIO 2007 convention and other occasions over the following years.
BiotechEast organized a press event on February 5, 2007, to promote local participation in the project.
Taiwan's biotechnology industry featured on BBC World Europe
Last week saw BBC World Europe broadcast at prime time the first run of a series of short films featuring Taiwan's biotechnology industry. The series was developed by BiotechEast and London-based ACI Television, with the support of the government of Taiwan.
Going out to over 74 million homes, hotels and offices across 48 countries in Europe, the series will run two more times in January 2005. Not only a boost for Taiwan's biotech industry in such a key market, but the broadcasts are also a rare opportunity to promote the name of Taiwan on the international stage.
